Merry Christmas Guys!!!!

Tis the season to cry for my bank account, but I am happy to announce that I finally ordered an Akagidoll body. I ordered through Alice Collections mostly because free shipping and because it's cheaper because the price seems to eternally discounted. Also I have decided a name too, but I guess that is old news since I posted on Instagram about it > . < "...anyways it's going to be Yuri! Totally not a lame reference from Yuri On Ice by the way.  Sadly I can't upload photos at the moment since I managed to lose my cameras cord. But Enjoy your holiday and a very Merry Christmas!!

Mr. No Name

Whaz up! Okay, if you've been following my instagram, then you already know that I repainted my Migidoll Ell. At first I wanted to sell him, because the character Celestin wouldn't work, however after thinking about and getting a little stressed out, I decided to keep him, but I maybe changing his body soon, as I thought It would be nice to give him some height. The body I'm currently eyeing is the Akagi doll body. The 66cm ver.II, to be more specific. I really like the body because of how slim it looks. I'm not sure what his style would be as far as clothing goes, but I did order him a dark brown fur wig and some dark grey eyes from Alice's Collection. Anyways onto the photos!!!

This is him after his faceup, truth be told, it has a lot of mistakes in it. However, I'm not going to be wiping it anytime soon since I quite like how it turned out. And that's what's important, well to me at least. By the way, I glossed his face to give it a little bit of shine and some skin texture, but now his face just looks greasy....or maybe dewy if I look towards the brighter side of things. And for once, he doesn't have his characteristic red lips! Also WARNING: DOLL NUDITY BELOW NSFW ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE GENITALIA!

Here's the wig and eyes. I like how dark eyes look in general, I just find them pretty, but don't expect them to catch any light because of how the photos look, but we'll see when they come in. And there wasn't any reason for the wig color other than to match his eyebrows.          

And before I forget to mention, Akagi Doll resin does not appear to match my 2014 Migidoll in Volks normal skin because of the resin comparisons I've seen as Akagi Doll looks more on the pinker side. But, it doesn't matter to me since his face is a little pinker because of the blushing. And my order from Alice's Collection is going to ship soon!!! So far my experience has been great, they were prompt with their messages and polite, but it does take time for it to ship since some items are made to order, not just the dolls. Anyways, see you soon~

Selling my soul.......?

Hey guys~ It's about time for me to sell my doll. Yep Celestin, or rather my Migidoll Ell, and the Dollfie Dream body. I'll be putting up a sales post on Ebay because I wasn't sure of any other way to sell while maintaining some type of record. But that's my last update that I have, also the Dollfie Dream body will be the first sales post, then Migidoll Ell that way I won't screw up shipping and stuff. Wait, I lied, my last update was my little doll hiatus is slowly being done mostly because I really couldn't find the time to work on him, but I shall finish him!!! But I don't think I'll be updating as much on instagram because I really want his prototype to be a day away from shipping to the casting company. Anyways, I'll leave you these photos, so see you next time!

Doll Making updates

Hey guys! To be honest I got lazy to make a new post, I know shame on me. Currently my head is on a little hiatus mostly because the nose and mouth have been stressing me out. I will of course resume sculpting, however it may be some time till updates will happen. Anyways, here are some photos from my progress so far that was from weeks ago!

I cut open the head to see if I could open up the eye area, but the head was so thick and I didn't have the right tools so below was the end result.

I do admit, I was a little stuck on how to give the eyes a little shape. I ended up just craving around the eyes to make deeper eye wells, and then added two balls of clay to indicate where the eyes should go like the photo below.

After those two balls dried, I added thin stripes of clay around the balls to define the eye shape.

His glossy forehead...shines stronger than Saitama's.....the clay was added there to bring it out more as his forehead had a steep slope to it.

The nose got reworked until I arrived to the photo below. Looking back on it, I kinda wished I has kept it.

This was the last point I got up to for his head to look somewhat completed. His chin shape changed a lot, and that was mostly due to me craving is down, AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS, but yea I added his head back on and removed the core.

This is what happened when I destroyed his jaw... my reasoning for it was only because to fix his lips and profile in general, as the lips came out too much.



That's pretty much it as far as updates go, my little hiatus should be over soon so that's a plus since I think that I have a better idea as to how to approached his nose and lips. Thank you for reading, adn have a wonderful day!!

Doll Making

Hey again! I mentioned before that I'm going to start making dolls, well that's happening now. So I'll just show the images captured while sculpting. The name I've chosen for my BJD company is MadhuDoll. In sanskrit, mahdu means sweet, so all the dolls are going to be named after various sweets, pastries, and candies. The first doll I've begun work on is MelonPOP. His facial features were inspired by various KPOP idols.

His name is actually inspired by Melona popsicles, and this is where i realize that I've been calling him by the wrong name ( ; _ ; ). It's not entirely the wrong name though, he was suppose to be called MelonPOP first, but as I was drawing pink looked better than the green....

Sooo the base is comprised of newspaper, which was wrap in aluminum foil and then covered in cling wrap so the it would be easier to remove. Well at least I hope it would be.

One amazing find was that LaDoll has actual paper fibers within the clay, well that does make sense since it is a paper clay............I actually thought it was stone clay because of the packaging

Formed a horrifying face shape, but it did help to get a decent face length

Made a skull because why not. Although, the skull did help with the placing of the facial muslces

A long noodle shaped thing helped to shape the nose, but my carelessness knocked it off..........

 

To be honest, I was fucking around with the head at this point , however I did proceeded to add guide lines where the finer details should be. Well that's all the sculpting updates I have for now, hopefully more to come tomorrow!

AND FINALLY AN OMAKE: As I was sculpting, unbeknownst to me, massive amounts off clay bits fell upon my keyboard...I should take more precautions for the next time I sculpt.

Ramblings

     Hey guys, sorry for not posting anything for months, just going to let you know what is going to happen to this blog. First off, all of the old post will be deleted except the eye making and wig making posts as well as faceups. The photos on Flickr will stay though. Secondly I will be changing the blogs format, which I guess shouldn't be a surprise because I do constantly change it. Thirdly, as far as my doll characters go, I've decided to completely trash the idea of giving the character a doll form to be honest, I wasn't satisfied with having a doll I couldn't get right no matter how much I tried. And I've also been teasing you with other characters but I don't see much hope for them either as I made all of the characters  relationships mostly specific to Cel. So yeaaaaa, those are pretty much the updates I have to show regarding this blog and my BJD.

     If you guys have been following me on Instagram, natsukip_madhudoll, then you would already know that I'm going to start making dolls. So far I've got a few of the supplies, but I'm waiting on the clay since it should be arriving today. I hope I can do a good job since it is my intention to sell them, and mostly because I not really a sculptor.
